Today I’m going to tell you about one of my most recent readings “Erik Vogler and the murders of the white king”. It tells the story of an autistic teenager called Erik, who, after his father gets confused by the dates of a journey to New York, must stay all Easter holidays with his grandma, who he hates. Then, when she is sleeping he sees a ghost and starts investigating.
The book is great, with lots of twists and turns, amazing characters and a great representation of the autistic community with Erik as the main character. The other main characters are Albert Zimmer, the vampire kid who Erik meets at his grandma’s town, his grandma, who doesn’t like Erik very much, and his father, who is not very intelligent. The final part is simply a masterful piece of writing of chasings.
